AbstractNot Available Design is to carried out for a transmission system for a Naval Research Laboratory W-Band radar. This system is to convey high-power rf pulses from a gyroklystron amplifier within a radar van to a rotating antenna on the roof of the van. During Phase I, the mechanical layout for the entire transmission system will be designed. Two critical millimeter wave components have been identified that require detailed analysis, design and testing during Phase I. These components are the right-angle miter bend and the output mode converter. Low-power tests of these components are planned during Phase I. Successful tests with these components will allow the full electrical design of the transmission system to be completed during Phase I, for completion and high-power testing during Phase II.
