Abstract
For this Phase I effort, Orbit Logic Incorporated will design, develop, and test a mobile handheld application (app) that can task an imaging satellite. Orbit Logic will utilize portions of its operationally proven, high fidelity Collection Planning System (CPS) software during this Phase I effort. The Satellite Tasking app will allow users to define an area of interest (AOI) and submit a request to a satellite to collect an image of the AOI. This Satellite Tasking app will be able to function in areas with limited network connectivity. The Phase I effort will focus on defining the data requirements, designing the app and support server, and implementing and testing a preliminary version of the app and server connected to a test system of the GeoEye-1 control center satellite tasking system.
