Abstract
Fabrication procedures have been proposed to develop biofilm-containing appliques capable of mitigating the corrosion of aluminum aerospace alloys (e.g. AA2024-T3). The proposed methods are expected to produce surface protective flexible polymer coatings that containing bacterial biofilms capable of providing corrosion protection to the metal surfaces of aircraft and other military equipment to which they are applied.
