Abstract
Corvid Technologies is pleased to offer the following proposal in response to solicitation AF071-163, Tailorable Weapon Effects for Minimizing Collateral Damage. We will describe a process for designing effective “select-a-yield” ordnance that utilizes our recognized expertise in material science and numerical modeling. In Phase 1, we will demonstrate the feasibility of several concepts using physics-based models to understand the explosive reaction to initiation stimulus. We will investigate initiator technologies and with our partner MILTEC Corporation demonstrate through small-scale testing the proof-of-concept of multiple initiation sites and other control technologies to develop our “select-a-yield” designs.
