Abstract
THE ANALYTICAL PREDICTION OF THE ELECTROMAGNETIC BEHAVIOR OF DIELECTRICALLY CLAD VEHICLES IS BECOMING INCREASINGLY IMPORTANT. THE PROPOSED EFFORT CONSISTS OF PRODUCING A GTD-BASED FORMULATION FOR THE PREDICTION OF ELECTROMAGNETIC SCATTERING BY CONFORMAL REACTIVE SURFACES, THE FORMULATION INCLUDING BOTH SPECULAR AND CREEPING RAY TERMS. COMPUTER CODE WILL BE DEVELOPED SPECIFICALLY FOR THE CONE-SPHERE CLAD IN A SINGLE LOSSY LAYER. THE FORMULATION WILL BE TESTED AGAINST RESULTS FROM PSEUDO PHYSICAL OPTICS INTEGRALS FOR THE SPECIAL CASE OF AN AXIALLY INCIDENT PLANE WAVE, AND AGAINST ANY USEFUL SCATTERING RESULTS IN THE OPEN LITERATURE.
