Abstract
FOR THE PROPOSED RESEARCH, DSA PLANS TO FOLLOW A LOGICAL AND METHODICAL APPROACH TO SATISFY THE TECHNICAL OBJECTIVES. THE OBJECTIVES OF THE PHASE I PROGRAM ARE TO EXAMINE MULTISTATIC RADAR ISSUES. IN PARTICULAR, APPROACHES, CONCEPTS, AND TECHNOLOGY NEEDS SHALL BE EXAMINED IN A SEARCH FOR INNOVATIVE MULTISTATIC RADAR TECHNIQUES AND APPLICATIONS. ISSUES TO BE EXAMINED SHALL INCLUDE COHERENCY; BEAM, PULSE, AND BURST CHASING PROCESSING TECHNIQUES; ANTENNA BEAMFORMING TECHNIQUES; TARGET AND CLUTTER MODELING AND PROCESSING TECHNIQUES. ALSO, AS PART OF THE PHASE I EFFORT, A PARTICULAR SCENARIO WITH BISTATIC AND/OR MULTISTATIC SENSORS SHALL BE EXAMINED FOR THE PURPOSE OF EVALUATING THE ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES VIA A VIS A COMPARABLE MONOSTATIC SYSTEM.
