Abstract
THIS SBIR PROPOSAL DEFINES THE SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS FOR A LOWCOST INTEGRATED PRECISION APPROACH, LANDING AND TAXI SYSTEM BASED ON GPS NAVIGATION FOR GENERAL AVIATION USERS. FLIGHT TESTS WILL BE CONDUCTED USING DIFFERENTIAL OR ENHANCED DIFFERENTIAL GPS TECHNIQUES. THE RESULTS OF THESE TESTS WILL HELP DETERMINE THE TECHNICAL FEASIBILITY OF THE GPS-BASED SYSTEM, THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE GPS RECEIVER, THEREQUIREMENTS FOR THE CORRECTION MESSAGES (DIFFERENTIAL VS. ENHANCED DIFFERENTIAL), AND THE IMPLEMENTATION COSTS.
