Research Institution

The CVN-21 island will not have a manned camera on the 07 Level yet must meet the requirements for launch, recovery, and special event tracking that it provides on previous CVs. We propose a system of state-of-the-art panoramic views, pan/tilt/zoom camera, and low-light fixed cameras which provide situational awareness equal or better than possible today. Tedious, repetitive tracking tasks and recording will be highly automated. The proposed system can also be back-fit onto existing carriers for significant savings in manpower, ship list, and radar cross-section.
