Abstract

The objective of this SBIR project is to develop a piezoelectric energy harvesting system using a bistable structure(s). Mid will combine piezoelectric energy harvesters developed from its commercial piezo energy harvesting (PEH) products with Ohio State University and their novel approach and vast experience on piezo energy harvesting with bistable systems. Phase I will demonstrate a proof-of-concept prototype and develop a design of a 6U CubeSat satellite that integrates the piezoelectric energy harvester, electronics, and bistable perturbation mechanism(s).
