Abstract

Target vehicles are designed to be threat representative in the signatures space. While traditional threat fidelity efforts have focused on the mockup for the lethal object and intentional countermeasures, the launch vehicle stages can often have significant impact on the classification and discrimination problem. IERUS is suggesting a program to test a (fuel) liquid engine, and modify the engine parameters to vary the signatures. Accurate representations of these signatures in terms of spectral profile and magnitude are critical to full system level testing. Approved for Public Release | 16-MDA-8863 (22 September 16)
