Abstract
Building on the Phase I multi-core developments, the RTSync Team envisions an ontology-based automatic scenario selection/construction technology to create a system-of-systems capability to meet current and future modeling and simulation (M&S) stakeholders needs. Central to the RTSync Team approach is the System Entity Structure (SES), an M&S-specific ontology capable of representing the extensible family of all possible system designs, and the extensible families of all possible system model architectures that could represent them. The SES supports the automatic aggregation of system elements, environments, threats, and representations from repository into executable form. Importantly, this aggregation is aligned with analysis objectives and requirements to produce a pruned set of resources and scenarios, optimized for simulation execution on target computational platforms (multi-core, cloud, etc.). The RTSync Teams scenario selection/construction capability grows and evolves with the future adversary threat, the system architecture, mission evolution (e.g., integrated defense), stakeholder needs and system M&S Enterprise activities.
