Abstract
Current semi-active laser (SAL) seeker systems pose an eye hazard due to 1.06 um designation wavelength. Penn Semiconductor will develop a SAL seeker readout integrated circuit (ROIC) and focal plane array (FPA) compatible with both eye-safe and eye-hazardous laser designators and compatible with existing SAL seeker processors. The use of an ROIC will also allow integration of additional features to the SAL Seeker guidance systems improving performance and capabilities.
