Abstract

Hydrogen fuel cells are of interest for automotive applications because they produce zero emissions- However, fuel cells currently suffer from the high cost associated with the fuel cell stack- Power is limited by water management in the cathode- In the propose project, pH Matter, LLC will synthesize and demonstrate the performance of next generation fuel cell Gas Diffusion Layers (GDLs)- The materials will out-perform current GDLs in terms of power density and cost per power- The materials will be shown to meet the application requirements for key properties-
