Abstract

Increased competition and improved lead times are desired by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) for Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) Critical Safety/Critical Application Items (CSI/CAI). Ten ALRE National Stock Number (NSN) items were identified with annual demand values over $10,000 with two or fewer approved sources.Mainstream Engineering has carefully reviewed the ten NSNs provided in the solicitation and identified four items (to be detailed in this proposal) that will be pursued in Phase I, while the other six will be pursued in Phase II. Mainstreams unique integration of engineering, manufacturing, quality control, and integrated logistics support (ILS) provides the government with the best value for the proposed NSNs. In Phase I, we will develop internal technical data packages, produce and inspect prototypes, and develop source approval request (SAR) applications to be reviewed with DLA.
