Abstract

Increased competition and improved lead times are desired by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) for Land and Maritime Hard to Source Items (HSIs). Three National Stock Number (NSN) / part number (PN) combinations were identified with annual demand values over $10,000 with fewer than two approved sources.Mainstream Engineering has carefully reviewed the NSN/PN combinations provided in the solicitation and that they all fit within our current manufacturing capabilities and machining bandwidth. Mainstreams unique integration of engineering, manufacturing, quality control, and integrated logistics support (ILS) provides the government with the best value for the proposed NSN/PN combinations. In Phase I, we will develop internal technical data packages, produce and inspect prototypes, and develop source approval request (SAR) applications to be reviewed with DLA.
