Abstract
EMAG Technologies’ Phase I SBIR proposal addresses the United States Army’s need for a mobile tracking system capable of providing real-time Time Space Position Information (TSPI) for small missiles, rockets, aircraft, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVS) for use on test ranges across the country. Our proposed system overcomes the limitations faced by current radar systems used to track low-flying targets on test ranges and extends these benefits to a large range of ballistic projectiles as well aerial vehicles. The proposed system is capable of all weather operation, including accurate tracking in dense smoke, torrential rain, and driving snow. It is inexpensive, inherently easy to deploy, low-maintenance, and low-cost. The system is also compact and scalable, making it possible to integrate onto UAVS and other mobile platforms.
