PROJECT SUMMARYBayesic TechnologiesLLCproposes to participate in the I Corps program predicated on our STTR Phase I awardRGMADevelopment of a User friendly Bayesian Software PackageProof of ConceptThis project aims to meet researchersincreased demand to iuse Bayesian statistical methods to analyze data and iido so using easy to use software that is intuitiveinteractivetime efficientand incorporates the most current technologyOur proposed software will include the three primary capabilities common to all statistical softwareiimport and process dataiicreate descriptive statistics and plotsand iiiperform inferential estimation and hypothesis testingThe specific aims include Aimthe development of accurate and valid functionality which will allow users to specify a prior distribution and output a posterior distribution after quantitatively incorporating the researcher s own dataAimDevelop a user friendly graphical user interface such as point and click dropdown menus to perform Bayesian analysesand AimDevelop touch screen functionality to allow users to specify hand drawn distributions which will incorporate state of the art technology so users can draw a variety of distributions with their finger or a stylusWe anticipate improving our ability to conduct hypothesis validation methods to identify and mitigate gaps in knowledge relating to developing our business planespecially relating to commercializationWe aim to gain knowledge about determining the value of our productidentify customerscollect data on customerspain pointsidentify key resources and partners interested in our productdiscover the optimal distribution channel slearn how to improve customer relationshipsand develop a data driven cost structureWe also aim to conduct at leastinterviews as part of the customer discovery processAs a result of gaining this knowledge and experiencewe will be able to maximize the impact of our commercialization strategy to bring a valuable product to the marketplace that ultimately improves the quality of biomedical research and improves the public s health PROJECT NARRATIVE The analysissummaryand interpretation of data is fundamental to biomedical and population health researchsurveillanceand most other activitiesThe goal of this I Corps application is to help us translate our Bayesian software product to the marketplaceBayesian statistical methods help public health practitioners and medical researchers meet biostatistics related core competencies as prescribed by the American Schools and Programs of Public HealthThese analytic methods and tools contribute to the improvement of medical Randamp D and human healthcare outcomes
