Proposes to commercially develop a customizable sample sparingeasy to usecost effectiveand highly multiplexed protein microarray platform that will simultaneously measure multipleup toimmunoglobulin isotypes subtypes in the same sample across an entire landscape of multiple antigensThe platform is designed to define different effector functions for antibodies reactive with specifically mapped epitopesFor Phase Iwe have assembled an interdisciplinary team of experts from University of California IrvineIcahn School of Medicine at Mt SinaiNYand Grace Bio LabsIncto show proof of concept by creating a commercial assay to support research to develop a universal influenza virus vaccineThe platform combines conformationally correct antigens from conserved regions of NA and HA sub typesan epitope mapping planar microarray platformand inexpensive transportable array imager employing quantum nanocrystal conjugated secondary antibody cocktailsboth designed specifically for antibody profilingCommercialization will be predicated on successfully validating the array data vsELISAand demonstrating robust QC processes and long term stability of conformational epitopesSuccess in Phase I will lay the groundwork for the developmentin Phase IIof a broadly applicable solution for infectious disease specialists and epidemiologistsparticularly in endemic disease areas where such analytics will have the greatest impact
