Abstract
Voxtel proposes to develop, characterize, and demonstrate a coherent-ladar optimized readout integrated circuit (ROIC) consisting of 40-micron pixel elements, including circuits designed for snapshot-integration operation as short as 250 ns, formatted in a 32 x 32 array capable of readout speeds of 1 M frames per second. In Phase I, the coherent ladar ROIC architecture was developed and specifications were refined, pixel circuits simulated, readout circuits evaluated, and high-speed-capture camera systems characterized. In Phase II, a full-specification coherent ladar ROIC will be designed, simulated, fabricated, and tested. The ROIC will be made available for focal-plane array integration and will fully support die hybridization technologies. A camera system will be developed capable of capturing ROIC data at the maximum frame rate and later characterization and demonstration of fully integrated coherent ladar receivers. * Information listed above is at the time of submission. *
