Although there are many DC AC inverters available on the market, inefficiency and legacy semiconductor technologies require active thermal management and large package sizes.Creare proposes to develop a very small and passively cooled inverter that reduces size while improving efficiency and reliability.During Phase I, we developed a conceptual design and evaluated key aspects with analysis and targeted prototype demonstrations.During Phase II, we will complete development, culminating with demonstration of a full-scale prototype in a relevant test bed in support of the Combat Vehicle Prototype Next Generation Power Architecture.
