Abstract

The Phase II research project will have developed, demonstrated, and validated an operational software prototype, including a complete analytical framework with supporting mathematical analysis, and demonstration of its utility and methodology of its use. FTI will have advanced the lifecycle test optimization concept, software components, data representations, and user interface from the Phase I to develop and document a complete working prototype for use by test planners. The prototype will have been implemented in a Microsoft Windows platform. FTI will have implemented a Phase II case study with Army test data sources to show how it can be used and that it can be used to solve real world Army test planning problems. Successful completion of Phase II will result in a working documented prototype with a capability that will provide the lifecycle test optimization analysis capability required. The Phase II research will result in the capabilities and support necessary to ensure that lifecycle test optimization analysis needs are fully accounted for and provided. These objectives apply, at a minimum, to the family of systems in the Army’s Ground System Enterprise and rely on data from Army test data sources.
