Abstract

The purpose of this proposal is to develop a process to increase the life of transparent armor. The goal is to decrease the cost and potential mission delays associated with replacing delaminated armor. During the Phase I, Triton Systems proposes to demonstrate the feasibility of using a novel technology to increase the interlayer adhesion between the components of transparent armor. Phase II will further develop and fabricate prototype armor panels to prepare the way for implementation by the USN.
