Abstract
Both commercial and military laser systems can be effective but have limited applicability for counter unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS). Commercial lasers are underpowered and unsuitable for military environments, while military lasers are too large, heavy, and expensive for tactical applications. In Phase I, we will assess the feasibility of modifying commercial lasers for C-UAS applications. The study will include a range of defense platforms and breadth of solutions for the U.S. government. In Phase II, we will develop and demonstrate the high energy laser. In Phase III, we will integrate and transition the technology into military platforms.
