The Air Mobility Command transports over 300,000 tons of cargo a year and mostly utilizes the standard 463L cargo pallet. Cargo is secured in place with two side nets and a top net, the current approach is time-consuming and inefficient and has resulted in personal injury. Triton proposes a improved cargo pallet restraint system that is simple to install, lightweight, eliminates unsafe practices such as throwing nets and metal buckles, and accommodates all load configurations.During Phase I, the team will demonstrate that the proposed Spider Web restraint system will allow for increased efficiency and reduced injury while meeting requirements.
