Built from a highly successful Phase I (Base) proof-of-concept technology demonstration, ADA Technologies Inc. (ADA) proposes the further development, optimization and demonstration of our energy dense, high power, near zero-volt, storage-capable lithium ion (~0V Li-ion, hereafter) battery technology as a drop-in solution to address Navy energy storage needs. In Phase II, the ~0V Li-ion technology will include material development/optimization including nano-engineering the electrodes and development/evaluation of high voltage, nonflammable electrolytes. ADA will fabricate large-format prototype batteries designed for incorporation into critical Navy applications. Phase II will culminate with delivery of multiple prototype batteries to the Navy for evaluation. We will work with our industrial partners for technology transition. This technology holds meaningful potential for insertion in marine, space, air, terrestrial and commercial markets (e.g., directed energy weapons or DEW, satellite dead bus, missiles, soldier portability and starter battery and drive systems in automotive applications, respectively).
