Abstract
A LOW COST BROADBAND MICROWAVE POWER DIVIDER HAS THE POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCING THE COST OF THREAT ENVIRONMENT GENERATORS USED IN EW TEST SYSTEMS. THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS PROJECT IS TO DESIGN A LOW COST POWER DIVIDER SPECIFICALLY FOR USE IN LABORATORY EW TEST SYSTEMS IN THE 0.5 TO 4.0 GHZ RANGE. THIS COST REDUCTION WILL BE ACHIEVED BY CHOOSING MATERIALS, COMPONENTS, ASSEMBLY TECHNIQUES, AND TEST PROCEDURES SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS CLASS OF SERVICE. A CONVENTIONAL CIRCUIT CONFIGURATION WILL BE USED. IT IS ESTIMATED THAT AS MUCH AS AN ORDER OF MAGNITUDE COST REDUCTION CAN BE ACHIEVED, COMPARED TO PRESENTLY AVAILABLE DEVICES.
