AbstractCross-correlation technology investigated in this effort improve electronic warfare and signals intelligence capability relative to that which is known to be deployed. Agility enables detection of new threats followed by rapid, in-theater generation of robust detection templates. Robust templates and detection systems identify and track threats across many changes in relative locations, velocity, acceleration, propagation medium, encodings and number of concurrent emitters. Use of low-temperature receiver and correlation technology increases both the concurrent search bandwidth (HF to 40GHz) and sensitivity beyond alternative room temperature approaches. The algorithmic techniques could be implemented at room temperature with reduced capability.
