Abstract
UHF MILSATCOM channel availability is limited by sporadic narrowband interference. When frequency separation between the interferer and signal-of-interest is insufficient, use of conventional fixed-frequency filtering will result in unacceptable distortion to the signal-of-interest. In this Phase II project, GIRD Systems proposes continued development of a novel algorithm for excision of interference from a desired signal within the same frequency channel. GIRD Systems will develop and demonstrate to the Navy prototype interference excision hardware.
