Rapid and Accurate Idea Transfer

We create LiquidBriefing, a collaborative system that helps knowledge workers advance beyond using the trio of email, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and briefings. LiquidBriefing assists organizational knowledge management by capturing ideas at the time of origin, and supports a collaborative editing process to refine them. Reports and briefings are generated by LiquidBriefing and linked to the original sources so that an audience can dive into the details behind bullets on a slide. LiquidBriefing makes presentations more effective via an interactive audience feedback mechanism permitting audience annotation. Visualization components in briefings are matched to information needs either manually (through best practices) or automatically (via cognitive learning). We foster creation of domain-specific vocabularies, to use semantic tagging/querying to help people pinpoint the exact information they seek from a memory of a past briefing or report. Using our 50+ person-years of experience for Fortune 500 companies and DoD with XML processing, Human-Computer Interface products, and collaboration tool design, we aim to improve dramatically the effectiveness, analytic quality, and accuracy of conveying complex ideas, plans, quantitative analysis, and concepts in forms that are standardized across organizations or industries. We also create an open XML meta-language, BriefM, for interchanging briefings.
