Abstract

Using the current air launch pallet for MDA target air launch missions is an expensive one time use item and is not designed to be recovered or reused for another mission. IERUS proposes to perform an analysis of alternatives of advanced materials and innovative production methodologies to provide an alternative air launch pallet that satisfies program requirements while reducing cost and simplifying infrastructure and logistics. The IERUS approach combines the skills, previous experience, and innovative technology from IERUS and Lockheed Martin Space to perform the detailed analysis of alternatives resulting in a new innovative air launch pallet proposed solution. IERUS will work with LMS for information regarding the details of the gravity air-launch pallet (GAP). IERUS will then concentrate on developing generic performance requirements of the system leading to Phase II. Approved for Public Release | 18-MDA-9817 (23 Oct 18)
