Abstract

The proposed effort aims to mate NOVI’s advanced 12U spacecraft bus with Bluefield Technologies’ spectrally-filtered optical sensor, and adapt the integrated spacecraft for remote sensing of Methane for Air Force and other Government applications. In doing so, it not only combines an intelligent, high-performance bus with a compact, state-of-the-art sensor capable of 90% accuracy within a 20 meter resolution, but offers end-to-end detection capability to remotely assess energy infrastructure in domestic and foreign terrain with significantly lower monitoring costs. Specific Phase I activities are likely to include identification of Air Force end users and early adopters of the proposed technology, preparation of a work plan for pilot demonstrations, and finally, creation of a risk-reward matrix with measurable objectives and key results (OKRs) for each phase, and risk factors with cost / time estimates for follow-on demonstrations.
