Chemical/biological warfare agents, explosives, and toxic industrial chemicals are compounds that pose lethal threats to the warfighter. However, these compounds are often present in small quanti-ties, and frequently alongside other environmental contaminants, rendering fast and accurate onsite identification a challenge. Current technologies for colorimetric-based identification of such haz-ards suffer from multiple, common interferents, and cannot detect all agents in all forms (liquid, solid, vapor, aerosol). Clear Scientific proposes to develop, test, and manufacture a novel zero-power indicator ticket for the colorimetric, eye-readable, instantaneous, and nearly interferent-free presumptive identification of chemical threats in all forms. The indicator ticket is designed for one-handed use by warfighters wearing PPE gloves, and is readable through respiratory PPE from dawn to dusk without an external light source.
