RESEARCH IS FOCUSING ON SURVEYING THE HIGH-TECH COMPANIES IN THE APPROXIMATELY 100 RURAL COMMUNITIES WITH RESEARCH UNIVERSITIES TO DETERMINE THE LOCATION FACTORS FOR THESE COMPANIES. IDENTIFYING THE CHARACTERISTICS OF HIGH-TECH ENTREPRENEURS WHO HAVE STARTED IN THESE AREAS AND DEVELOPINGGROSS ESTIMATES OF POTENTIAL HIGH-TECH ENTREPRENEURS TO LOCATE IN THE RURAL UNIVERSITY SETTING.
