Abstract
West Coast Solutions (WCS), in collaboration with American Lithium Energy (ALE) and Space Micro, is developing a Hybrid Battery Supercapacitor (HBS). Our design leverages past efforts by ALE on the Army’s Lithium Ion Battery Supercapacitor Hybrid (LIBSH) Program while bringing in space hardware and battery packaging expertise from WCS to create a high performance, low risk solution that enables the deployment of high power propulsion systems and payloads on “small” satellites.
