Triton Systems, Inc. will develop, test, and deliver to the Navy the Global Naval Asset Tracking System (GNATS), a highly scalable system that meets the Navy requirements to track hundreds of thousands of repair parts located in Naval depots scattered across the globe. The GNATS system is based on a commercial asset tracking system that uses medium range, extremely low-power, and low-cost radios to cover hundreds of acres with a precision of just a few inches. The system automatically reports a rich set of data for each asset tracked, including precise location, dwell time, movement, and pre-defined event detection.
