Abstract

In this proposal, ISL will develop a cognitive fully autonomous sensor technology (CFAST) capable of being implemented on a variety of unmanned aerial systems (UASs) operating in highly contested environments. Given its generally long-range, and all-weather capabilities, emphasis will be on advanced radio frequency (RF) capabilities including mono/bistatic, active/passive, multi-band radar, electronics intelligence (ELINT), electronic support measures (ESM), communications intelligence (COMINT), measurements and signals intelligence (MASINT), and electronic warfare (EW). In particular, ISL will build on its highly successful cognitive fully adaptive radar (CoFAR) and EW architecture and adapt it to the constrained, cost, size, weight and power (C-SWAP) requirements of a UAS based CFAST implementation.
