Abstract
Our effort establishes a portfolio design, analysis, and optimization capability for satellite communications hardware and networks integrated with urban air mobility (UAM) applications. We pose UAM satcom hardware selection as a large-scale, multi-objective optimization problem and provide a solution capability that integrates multi-disciplinary design analysis and optimization (MDAO) methodologies, high-performance computing resources, and representative models of technologies and scenarios
