Abstract
CURRENTLY SCENARIOS ARE GENERATED, MODIFIED AND MAINTAINED MANUALLY BY EXPERT SCENARIO DEVELOPERS. THIS PROCESS REQUIRES THE INSTRUCTORS TO MANUALLY IDENTIFY AND INITIALIZE EACH TRACK. AUTOMATION OF THE ASG PROCESS WILL PROVIDE TWO SIGNIFICANT BENEFITS OVER THE CURRENT MANUAL PROCESS: A DECREASE IN THE SCENARIO CREATION TIME AND AN INCREASE IN THE EASE WITH WHICH A SCENARIO CAN BE MODIFIED. THESE TWO BENEFITS WILL ALLOW NOT ONLY A GREATER NUMBER OF SCENARIOS TO BE GENERATED, BUT ALSO ALLOW THE COMPLEXITY, SIZE OR VARIATIONS FOR EACH SCENARIO TO BE INCREASED. THERE ARE THREE MAJOR TECHNICAL OBJECTIVES FOR THIS PHASE I EFFORT. THE FIRST OBJECTIVE IS TO REVIEW THE CURRENT WORK BEING DONE IN THIS AREA AND TO ANALYZE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ASG. THE SECOND OBJECTIVE IS TO DEVELOP A DESIGN FOR BUILDING THE ASG, AND THE THIRD OBJECTIVE IS TO DEVELOP A PROTOTYPE OF AN ASG TO TEST THE DESIGN AND ^ERIFY THAT ALL OF THE REQUIREMENTS HAVE BEEN SPECIFIED. AUTOMATIC SCENARIO
