Abstract
The Air Force is developing the next generation of small satellites that will fly in close formation and weigh no more than 100 kilograms. The spacecraft are dramatically smaller than conventional vehicles and are designed to test new radiation-protectedmicroelectronics and demonstrate programmed, autonomous decision-making capabilities. In order to enable the use of next generation microelectronics, and relize the mass goals, the development of the next generation of electronics chassis is required.ITN's Next Generation Composite Chassis (NGCC) enables a 50% mass reduction of the command and data handling (C&DH)electronics box over current state-of-the-art aluminum chassis, and reduces cost for future
