Abstract

TSC has developed a concept for a novel, ultra-wideband (UWB), Active Electronic Scanning Array (AESA) antenna operating from 18 GHz to 40 GHz (K and Ka Bands), which is Size, Weight and Power compatible with a small Unmanned Aircraft System.  The design will support multiple US Army UWB needs across a variety of platforms.  TSC’s design focuses on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and utilizes many industry standard components and assembly processes to reduce development risk and cost of production manufacturing.  Concept development and electromagnetic was conducted on Phase I, and our proposed Phase II program will focus on construction and initial testing of a prototype AESA.
