Abstract
KLM WILL DESIGN AND FABRICATE AN ENGINEERED FIBERGLASS CONTAINER THAT APPEARS TO HAVE DESIGN QUALITIES THAT MEET OR EXCEED RECENT DESIGN CRITERIA FOR HIGH INTEGRITY CONTAINERS (HIC'S). THE DOE WILL HAVE SOME RESPONSIBILITY FOR COMMERCIAL TRU WASTE ABOVE 100NC I/G, COMMERCIAL WASTE THAT EXCEEDS THE 10CFR61 CLASS C CLASSIFICATION, THREE-MILE ISLAND, UNIT 2 WASTE AND COMMERCIAL NUCLEAR WASTE. THE USE OF ENGINEERED FIBERGLASS CONTAINERS MAY PROVE TO BE TECHNICALLY SUPERIOR AND ECONOMICALLY JUSTIFIABLE FOR THESE APPLICATIONS.
