Abstract
THE GOAL OF THIS PROJECT IS TO DEVELOP A METHODOLOGY FOR SPECIFICATION OF STUDENT'S MODELS THAT WILL BOTH ALLOW ACCURATE ASESSMENT OF A STUDENT'S CAPABILITIES IN A PARTICULAR DOMAIN AS WELL AS PROVIDING A KNOWLEDGE REPRESENTATION FRAME WORK FOR AN AUTHORING SYSTEM. TRAININGSITUATIONS ARE SPECIALIZED FORMS OF DISCOURSE SITUATIONS INVOLVING THE TRANSFER OF PROBLEM SOLVING INFORMATION BETWEEN THE SITUATED AGENTS. KBSI PROPOSES THE USE OF SITUATION SEMANTICS MODELS OF DISCOURSE SITUATIONS AS THE BASIS FOR MODELS OF INFORMATION TRANSFER BETWEEN THE SITUATED AGENTS (E.G. STUDENT AND INFORMATION TRANSFER SYSTEM (ITS)).
