Many simulations require tactical intelligence information and audio communication. This topic's thrust is to develop commercial applications that use the current C4I HLA constructs. A Virtual Command Post (VCP) has been desigend and build in response to an earlier solicitation and is being delivered as a proof-of-concept for CECOM's future battlefield visualization, planning and radio communication efforts. This VCP runs a distributed simulation of a battlefield TOC inside a Commander's VR helmet in order to provide operational, fully portable, mobile, battlefield C4I capabilities. This project proposes to port the VCP to HLA using MRCI components wherever possible and to develp alternate simulations (such as virtual classrooms, virtual sales centers and virtual service and support centers) which would be suitable for both military and commercial use.
