Abstract

Triton Systems, Inc. will design and test a portable, lightweight device to enable on-site creation of dialysate fluid. Triton will integrate related technologies created by Triton and partners from prior SBIR funding to filter water and produce the necessary components of dialysate fluid. Our technical solution will be capable of supporting 75L per day demand for dialysate fluid using water from any source including potable, non-potable, and salt water. The device will weigh less than 1lb and be rugged, capable of surviving harsh military environments. The device will operate without electrical power and be FDA approved. Basic proof of concept will be demonstrated in Phase I with prototypes produced in Phase II that will be suitable for FDA submission.
