Abstract
The creation of a compact, fuel efficient power generation system for use on the 7-M RHIB or SPARTAN would further increase the flexibility of this craft. Research is proposed herein to determine the best combination of JP-5/DFM fueled engine, electric generator, and power electronics technology from a field of existing technologies, recent advancements, and cutting-edge components in order to create such a system.
