Abstract

The overall objective of this topic is to develop an automated tool that can import specifications and interface requirements from specifications, DOORS modules, or spreadsheets and create a system architecture in a general modeling language. The objective of the Phase I effort is to develop a proof-of-concept that demonstrates the key features to create system architecture models from specifications, DOORS modules, and spreadsheets, and integrate those models with existing system architecture models. The result of this research is to develop a new automated system architecture tool that provides an effective and intuitive way for systems engineers and system architecture analysts to create and integrate system architecture models from specifications and other forms of input. In particular, FTI will develop a concept, methods, techniques, and proof-of-concept software that accomplishes the objectives of the Phase I effort, specifically for automating the creation and integration of system architecture models. Sources that FTI will address consist of one or more specifications or similar document, DOORS requirements, and one or more spreadsheets. The modeling language that FTI will address is the Systems Modeling Language (SysML). Approved for Public Release | 21-MDA-11013 (19 Nov 21)
