Abstract

IERUS Technologies proposes to identify and characterize X-Band waveforms designed to optimize the performance of radars that can be generated with state-of-the-art and commercially available signal processing hardware components. A comprehensive analysis of the capabilities and limitations of currently available hardware such as Analog to Digital Converters (A/Ds), Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), Power Amplifiers, Time Delay Units etc. is proposed to structure the selection of new waveform implementations in X-Band radars. To analyze waveform performance receiver/exciter models will be developed during Phase I leveraging extensive signal processing and radar simulation capability at IERUS. Approved for Public Release | 21-MDA-11013 (19 Nov 21)
