Abstract

In the Phase I effort, contract number SP4701-19-P-0032, Parts Life, Inc. utilized its proven SAR process to replicate Tool Set, Dome Nut, NSN 4920-01-284-0198. Using the company’s unique and revolutionary R.O.P.E.™ (Rapid Obsolescence Planning and Execution) process to create a complete technical and manufacturable drawing package, Parts Life provided a solution to a problem that has become increasingly more critical for the availability of this kit. All the drawings, specifications, sources, and all inspection data were completed in their entirety, compiled in a source approval request, and received ESA approval. As a qualified approved source, Parts Life received Phase III contract SPE4A6-20-P-1361 and delivered production units to the government. For this Phase II, Parts Life, Inc. is proposing to improve product availability and increase competition through the development of Source Approval Requests (SAR) for NSN 1560-01-476-2639 Turbo Charger, PN 8721036-10 Wiring Harness, NSN 6160-01-226-2849 Box Assembly, Battery, NSN 99990 SSN Radiator, NSN 6130-01-567-7354 Power Supply, NSN 2530-01-141-2929 Brake Shoe, PN 2812F Level Gauge Electrical Connector, NSN 2910-01-361-8261 Fuel Tank, NSN 6680-01-059-2698 Counter, Rotating, NSN 5342-01-009-9209 Coupling, Clamp, Grooved, and NSN 5945-01-012-4684 Solenoid, Electrical with government provided technical data or sample through our Reverse Engineering (RE), and SAR Process.  Upon contract award, Parts Life, Inc. will utilize our produced technical data for development of the SAR packages. The intent is that upon SAR approval by an ESA, Parts Life, Inc. will be responsive to all future solicitations, as well as participate in the development of additional SARs for technically related NSNs. All Materials, Equipment, Management, Measurements, Environment / Testing, and Manpower are focused on meeting and exceeding the expectations of the DoD's engineering community. As part of this effort, Parts Life, Inc. will work with four program sponsors and their technical teams. The sponsors are Greg J. Bauer NAVAIR PMA-260C22, Dominic L. Scafuro NAWCAD ALRE Department, Timothy Rubottom USAF ESA, and Mark Johnson USAF ESA. Due to previous success resulting in Phase III production, familiarity working with Greg Bauer as a sponsor for Phase II SBIR contract SP4701-21-C-0005, and a full understanding of the proposed NSNs, Parts Life, Inc. is confident in the success and engineering approval of all items on this proposal.
