Abstract
A METHOD IS PROPOSED FOR CONFERRING BROAD SPECTRUM IMMUNITY WITHOUT UNDESIRABLE SIDE EFFECTS. PROTECTION AGAINST A WIDE VARIETY OF BACTERIA, VIRUSES AND FUNGI ARE INCLUDED. ANTICIPATED BENEFITS/POTENTIAL COMMERCIAL APPLICATIONS - IN ADDITION TO THE OBVIOUS MILITARY BENEFIT, THIS APPROACH WOULD BENEFIT IMMUNE INCOMPETENT INDIVIDUALS SUCH AS CHILDREN BORN WITH CONGENITAL IMMUNODEFICIENCIES, PATIENTS UNDERGOING BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT, ORGAN TRANSPLANT RECIPIENTS AND PATIENTS WITH AIDS.
