Abstract

An approved high-level-disinfection-and-sterilization portable kit is developed that requires the minimum of resources to be used for a mass casualty, resource stressed field hospital scenario. The focus is on sterilization of hinged, narrow channel scope instruments, vital tools when delivering care, which can harbor organic material and bacteria. Power, time, and staff resources pose challenges to the sterilization of these instruments rapidly in the field. These barriers are overcome with a simple kit developed with a novel dry disinfecting mist. Polaris Sensor Technologies leverages a Phase II derived chemical paste CleanSmoke™ . CleanSmoke™ disperses a disinfecting submicron mist that has experimentally proved effectiveness against SARs virus/Covid 19, gram positive and gram-negative bacterium drawing our attention to recommend CleanSmoke™ for development to sterilize. CleanSmoke™ is a self-propagating disinfecting/sterilizing mist that only requires an outer container for its use.
